Hi! My name is Julia Zhu. I am a PhD candidate in Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell University.
I am an applied microeconomist. My research interests are labor economics and the economics of education, with an emphasis on the determinants and consequences of migration and migration policies.
I have several lines of active research that investigate the causes and effects of high-skilled immigration, local impacts of immigration enforcement policies, consequences of climate change and environmental shocks, attitude formation towards immigrants and minorities, and population estimation using demographic and machine learning techniques.
I am on the job market during the 2021-2022 cycle.
